Day 7: Mon 2 May - Meandarra to Roma
15 – 28°, Clear sky in the morning, becoming partly cloudy with light winds in the afternoon. The Labor Day Public Holiday in QLD, we woke to another beautiful day in the countryside. Before breakfast I had a short walk along Brigalow Creek as the sun rose, then we packed and set off at 8am for the slow and bumpy drive along some very narrow roads to Roma via Condamine. We had a short stop in Condamine (not much to see apart from the Condomine Bullock Bell), before continuing on along the "Condamine Highway" (track would be a better description), arriving at our destination for the next three nights - the Roma Gun Club camp ground on the outskirts of Roma.
After setting up and having a late lunch, the boys set off for a short ride into town and back again. Before we knew it, we were having pre-dinner drinks and then headed off back to our vans for dinner and a quiet night.
