Day 86: Wed 20 Jul - Richmond
Day 86: Wed 20 Jul - Richmond
9 (felt like 6) to 27 deg. Very fresh morning, warming nicely throughout the day, very little wind and a few clouds in the afternoon. Morning walk around town with Greg, back for breakfast, then Noel and I headed to Kronosaurus Korner for part 1 of our 4 part Dinosaur Trail discovery tour. The marine fossils on display provide a fascinating insight into the creatures that survived in the ancient Eromanga Sea which once covered Richmond over 100 million years ago. An amazing experience and highly recommended - very informative. Afterwards Noel and I had mornos at a local home converted into a cafe. Back to the van we went to sort out a few admin matters, before Greg and I turned our attention to the rear wheel of the caravan again. Back in place, we won't know if we've solved the overheating issue until tomorrow when we need to drive 115km to Hughenden. A late afternoon ride around town, then it was time to pack up, catch up for sundowners and clean up for bed. Another full day which has left us a bit weary.
